Margaritas are an amaaaaaaaazing summer drink. The best summer drink, really. Tequila, lime and a hot day is the perfect combo. And you can take that combo out camping! Awesome!
They’re really easy to make. Just throw some water, lime juice, tequila, triple sec and agave syrup (or a sweetener of your choice) into a bowl and stir to combine. Pour the mixture into a double bagged freezer bag and let it freeze over night. It’ll keep in the freezer for probably months but it’ll get drank long before then.
In order to enjoy the margarita at it slushiest, bury it deep, deep down in your cooler and I would drink them the first night. But one of the great things about this recipe is even if it does melt (like mine this trip) they still taste great on the rocks!
Serve them up in your camp cups with a salt rim and lime wedge and enjoy!

- Juice your limes.
- Combine all the ingredients in bowl and give it a stir.
- Pour mix into a large double bagged freezer bag. Freeze overnight. The alcohol in the mix will prevent the juice from freezing solid. It should just get nice and slushy.
- Store deep down in your cooler to prolong the slushiness. If it does melt, enjoy it on the rocks instead.
- To serve, rub a lime wedge around the rim of a cup, rim it with salt and pour/scoop some margarita into the cup.
