The humble apple. Top it with chocolate, caramel, and granola and it becomes so much more! And its such an easy camp recipe.
All you gotta do is spread all the ingredients on a foil sheet (or pan if you’ve got one dedicated for fires) and cook until done! Done depends on your preference. You can go just slightly cooked and still crisp in the middle or full on goo. I went for a more crispy apple crisp. It’s quicker and I like the extra crunch.
Seriously, it’s so easy and tasty. A great group dessert to end a camp day. At least until the s’mores come out.

Ingredients
- 2 apples
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup granola
- chocolate chips
- caramel squares cut into quarters

Instructions
- Cut up apples into chunks and spread out on a foil baking sheet.
- Slice butter into small cubes, evenly distribute around apples.
- Top apples with remaining ingredients and cook over fire until apples are cooked to desired doneness. 20ish minutes.
- Once done cooking top with any extra chocolate chips or caramels you want just for that extra bit of sweetness
